FAQs

How big is Wild Olive Cottage?

1400 square feet, with two master suites and a Jack-and-Jill suite connecting two bedrooms. Each master suite has a king-sized bed and private bathroom with walk-in shower. Bedroom three is a bunk room with triple twin-sized bunk beds, and bedroom four has another king-sized bed. Bedrooms three and four are connected by a bathroom that has a freestanding soaking tub with handheld sprayer. It sleeps nine total (with room for a 10th on the oversized sofa) and we think it’s a great fit for two families traveling with kids, a group of friends, a low-key bachelorette weekend or a vacation with the grandparents!

Where does the name come from?

The wild olive tree, Osmanthus Americanus, is one of the many native plants that thrive in the white sandy soil of the Gulf coast. Also known as “devilwood” because the wood is so difficult to split, these lush and fragrant trees can be found among the live oaks and loblolly pines that grow along the peninsula.
